Donna Karan New York (DKNY) is an American fashion company founded by designer Donna Karan and her late husband Stephan Weiss. The company extended its brands with the DKNY label, aimed at younger women, and eventually with DKNY Jeans, DKNY Men and DKNY Active, expanding over time into children’s clothing, home accessories and beauty products as well.
Donna Karan for Women, was launched in 1992. In collaboration with Estee Lauder, new fragrances for men and women were offered throughout the 1990s. Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH acquired the company in 2000. Perfumes continue to be offered under the Donna Karan Beauty and DKNY labels.
