Guy Laroche was a French fashion designer born in 1921, he began his career as a hat-maker and started his own fashion label in 1957.
The company’s entered the perfume market with Fidji for women, in 1966 which was a great success. The first men’s fragrance from Guy LaRoche was 1972’s Drakkar, which was later superseded by Drakkar Noir, in 1982.
Guy Laroche passed away in 1989, but the fashion house and fragrances continue to sell today. The company offers fragrances in collaboration with L’Oreal.
