Donald and Gun Bauchner founded The Perfumer’s Workshop in 1971 with the aim of opening a personalized perfume boutique. When the fragrance Tea Rose was presented in 1977 it became an instant success and today most of their products are distributed throughout the world. The brand’s products are still manufactured in the US.

The idea of custom-made fragrances was born and Perfumer’s Workshop counters opened at Selfridge’s (1973) and Harrods (1974) in London. The first counter to open in Paris was the one in Galéries Lafayettes in 1975.

Since the opening of the brand’s Paris office in the 1990s, Perfumer’s Workshop have created fragrances for Sonia Rykiel, L’Or de Torrente, Jean-Luc Amsler and Louis Ferraud.

Perfumer’s Workshop fragrances can be found in shops and stores in more than 90 countries. The company’s first www-only collection, Zipped, was presented in 2011. This collection is available for test and purchase only and underlines the changing consumer habits.
